      Interesting and challenging projects. You get to work with prestigious products and companies. The learning curve is high. The people are very smart and hard working.

      Pros

      Always interesting and management wants you to learn new things. There is a lot expected and you are given the flexibility to do your work. Working with smart, talented people everyday. Great exposure to some of the top companies in the world. Plenty of opportunities to be promoted.

      Typical management consulting hours, nothing out of the ordinary and dependent on the project you may be on

      Pros

      I have learned an incredible amount about the nuances and drivers of the specialty therapeutics market by working with providers, payers, manufacturers, and interest groups. Get the opportunity to work on teams with very smart people, positioned on the inside of healthcare. Projects translate into real world decisions made by out clients. Unlike much of consulting, you get to see the downstream effects of projects.

      Cons

      This is a consulting firm so expect to have to work. It is not a cushy 9-5 job. Sometimes you will need to sacrifice a personal commitment, but only really around the time a deliverable is due.
