Workforce Development Division Desperately needs Leadership

Pros

Helping the clients with barriers get back into the workforce was very rewarding.

Cons

High turnover, very low moral. Disrespectful, petty, micro-managers. Division director is childish and incompetent and sets a very poor example for those working under him. His behavior remains unchecked and upper executives don't seem to mind despite numerous complaints to management. As long as they acquire new contracts, they continue to turn a blind eye. This organization is not for anyone who seeking a quality career.

Pros

Fedcap employs many individuals with disabilities through government contracts who would probably not otherwise have access to the salary, benfits and stability that Fedcap offers. Many of the dedicated staff who have worked at Fedcap for a long time, during the more client-centered years, remain and are of great benefit to the clients who receive services from this agency.

Cons

Unfortunately, Fedcap has changed drastically under new leadership. The client-centered focus on which Fedcap was once based is now gone. New leadership brought in a few years ago has focused on expansion at any cost and ethics have gone out the window. Staff morale is low and services for individuals with disabilities (the agency's original mission) has been cut at the expense of expansion in other areas. The agency no longers garners the respect it once had by the government agencies it works closely with. Fomerly, the executive management took pride in being a model agency with exceptional service and high marks on all audits and reviews by monitoring agencies. Sadly, the current executive team only cares about doing the minimum to pass an audit or review. It would be professional suicide for a serious clinician to work here.

Pros

The company mission is great. The fact that they hired a felon still on parole as chief of staff is amazing.

Cons

Horrible work conditions. Delusional C suite. People are over worked and underpaid. Little vacation time and benefits are very expensive.
