Pay is okay for lawton

Cons

Most of the supervisor staff is dirty and will blame officers for any form of mishap In the facility. No job security. Favoritism is horrible at this facility. I can't even scratch the surface of stupidity that goes on here.

Above average pay for security work. Just realize that pay is ALL you will get from GEO.

Mandatory random overtime and LOTS of it Terrible benefits, lousy health plans that employees pay 100% for No supervisory support No career path - this is a dead end job The company and the admin team don't care about employees Easy to get fired for tiny things Contradictory directions from supervisors (eg: always do X, never do X) Officer safety is not a concern for the company or its admin team Staff is treated like cattle Union is toothless and ineffective 12 hour shifts with no breaks until lunch at hour 10 or 11 Lieutenants that honestly hate and abuse officers Hostile work environment for females
