You are able to get overtime. It's a job but you have to make the best of it. 8 hr shifts so that's a plus.

Cons

No structure, inexperienced supervisors, and frequently mandated. Lowest paid correction officers position in the state of GA. You have to work 6 days straight to get a day off.

Pros

Inside look at how corporate execs. Have gotten rich from private prisons. Made me see the value of an accountable, transparent public system.

Cons

Poorly conducted training, really a joke. Warden not skilled to be a leader. You had to go along to get along. Pay is low! Management was dishonest. Many people, bottom to top, said this was the worst place they had ever worked.
