Staff is nasty to each other. Critical and degrading in front of residents. The mandatory overtime is dangerous. Officers work 16-17 hour shifts. We are working in an environment that you need to be alert, however with just a few hours (literally 3-5 hours) of sleep a night, no one is vigilant. Creates an extremely unsafe environment.

Manager had no prior experience in law enforcement or case management. Minimal training. Too much paperwork to assist clients. Cass mangers also run groups (about 4-5 groups/day.) poor pay for the work required...little more than $30.000/yr. Worked in close proximity with parole officers who wanted nothing to do with case managers. No team atmosphere. Didn't see much benefits for clients. I guess that's the idea since they get paid every time a client signs in to the center. Great for recidivism.
