Pros

The Key Program provides wonderful training and experience across all entry level jobs. They have a good benefits system and the salaries are very fair based on position. Residential and Outreach jobs are very active.

Cons

Depending on your position, some long hours are required.

Pros

The kids are incredible to work with and will always bring you back. Learned a lot on the job about the system, the way that works, building relationships and confidence. Always extra shifts available if you need the extra cash. Definitely an in and out kind of job, do not expect to be there more than 10-12 months.

Cons

No protection for the direct care staff and 100% makes you feel expendable. Employees are hurt, ignored when real life issues come up outside of work, and management could give two craps about why you're calling out. Their concern is to make you feel bad about missing a shift, then putting it on you to find a replacement. No recognition for staff who go above and beyond. Priorities are way out of control and it seems management are more willing to keep the dead weight and push out the knowledgeable staff just to have bodies to watch the girls.

Pros

Supportive and understanding leadership, although management varies significantly from regional office to office. Offers supervision and will help you in working towards LICSW. Good place to start your career, but always be thinking of the next step because you can't really make a long term career here, unless you are fine with making minimal money.

Cons

The training is subpar. They are heavily focused on maintaining their financial security, which only relies on billable income from DCF, DYS, insurance companies, etc. I would not recommend a long term career here.
