What a nightmare

Pros

Free meals 3 times a week (unless you have diet restrictions, then you're out of luck), snack day on wednesday, health insurance (bad but at least included).

Cons

The most unprofessional, toxic work environment I've ever had the displeasure to work with. One of the middle managers there was given way too much freedom to reign without being monitored and without adequate work experience to handle her rapidly growing team. She thought she could gossip about other employees within earshot and cross the line personally with some of her subordinates. We often wondered what the hell she would do all day besides that. There was absolutely no work life balance, especially after they moved the office to another state (which they knew about before they hired me, yet didn't care to let me know until 1 month after I had been hired).

Pros

1. higher salary ($60,000 base) than most fashion roles if you really want to be in the fashion world 2. "growing" fashion company 3. job security 4. takes employee health seriously 5. Diversity 6. Benefits are pretty good 7. work life balance if you are willing to not hit quota

Cons

1. Very hard to hit quota to get any commission - the base is minimal especially in SF with all of the taxes 2. Heavy lifting - I am a college athlete and this role feels like I am working at a moving company 3. Consignors treat me like a cleaning lady 4. Does not know how to scale properly / very unorganized internal structure -- This is their #1 fault and the reason people leave because of burn out, and why consignors are so angry because the communication during consignment process is unorganized 5. Always hiring because the time one person stays in the role is very short 6. I don't enjoy the in-home experience - it does not feel like i am in a corporate role 7. No internal growth opportunities/ career opportnities so if you are passionate about just this role then take it but if you are looking to grow internally and in your career then definitely look elsewhere 8. if you want a work life balance AND want to hit your quota / commission it wont happen

Cons

Everything. Micromanaging, unrealistic monthly goals, terrible work/life balance, commission is very low compared to the product brought in. Toxic in almost every way
