Pros

Great energetic co-workers Great health benefits program Rapidly expanding company

Cons

Incompetent management. The managers are overpaid for doing nothing in particular. No internal hiring. Worked there for three years and did not see one time when deserving workers were given meaningful promotions. They take advantage of people who may not have other good employment options and work them progressively harder until they, hopefully, realize they have no future there.

Lack of thorough training. Uptight atmosphere. Colleagues are polite but not friendly. Feels like a sorority or high school clique mentality. Individuality not accepted.

Pros

Catered lunches on Tuesdays Christmas day and one weekend a month off Fashion environment with great product Lasting relationships with co-workers

Cons

The positive reviews of this company were clearly written by management, based on the wording and lack of honesty. The environment is truly toxic and morale extremely low. I often overheard management speaking negatively about the employees and their plans to fire them. Six people were laid off the first two months I worked there and there was very high turnover. The life-work balance was so horrific and you were expected to work on holidays, days off and nights. Based on the hours I worked and my salary, I was paid $5.75 an hour. An employee above wrote that she has nightmares about working for The RealReal and I couldn't agree more. If you are considering working for this company, please take a minute to read these reviews and at least talk to someone who worked there. Ask them specifically about the management, culture and compensation.
