Pros

As of right now they have reasonable career paths for promotion but it does seem that the higher up you get the more likely you are to get fired.

Cons

By far the biggest con is that the position is tied to a Walmart. At best stores are simply understaffed and at worst associates do things that actively take away from sales. You spend more time “working” for Walmart than the company who is paying you. Furthermore being in Walmart creates natural competition from Walmart brands. Customers don’t see value when shopping they see low prices. The average customer needs to be educated at a Walmart about carrier services and most of the time don’t want to be. Next is that despite selling ability success is decently proportional to the financial stability of the customer base. While a good seller is going to have more success than a poor one the differences in customer clientele from location to location can be drastic and cause a lot of variance in numbers. In additional some Walmarts just look nicer. Such as some might have working displays and some might not. This creates a huge difference in drawing in potential customers to convert into sales. Another factor is the limitations of the system to process sales and look up accounts. We claim it’s faster than going to a dedicated store but in a lot of cases this is just no true. It just lacks the ability to do a lot of things that could be done at a mobile store. On top of that the representative service hotline for the system is filled with overseas workers who have no clue what they are doing. It’s not uncommon for customers to come back with a complaint because the service rep you called didn’t do what you asked them to do. There is also an issue with lack of stock and how numbers work. Many times stores only get certain skus of phones leaving some of the more popular ones out. Other times more popular devices are just not in the store. In addition selling phones without service connections no longer counts for numbers. Some stores have very high levels of international clientele and at times customers don’t have the ability to get an upgrade or new service for various reasons.

Pros

Hours are flexible and you learn how to sell if you're at the right location.

Cons

They pretty much hustle you on the pay and there's a lot of politics, I've seen co workers who deserve to be promoted not get the promotion and seen the ones who sleep with the district manager move to the top.

Pros

Potential for large commission if you exceed goals, uncapped.

Cons

Terrible support systems in place. Upper management is completely unorganized. Toxic work environment. Concerns are not properly handled. Favoritism and singling out from upper management. Unprofessional behavior and treatment is tolerated way too often. No clear expectation of job titles outlined.
