1. Expected to work 60 hours to bill 40
2. Some really bad, untrained people at Executive level (some really good ones too). If you happen to join one of the bad groups (you'll know), cut your losses and move on quickly. It only gets worse.
3. Bad HR department. Couldn’t care less about employees - only care about liability. HR cares more about what people say in their exit interviews than current employees. Completely unresponsive.
4. If you are middle management or higher, bizarre and unrealistic revenue goals will be thrust upon you by people who know nothing about your work or day-to-day.
5. Some members of the executive team are
i. Fickle- change direction to (and focus of) teams frequently
ii. Don’t walk the walk- they demand their employees work 60+ hrs, but often don’t even work 40 themselves
iii. Are unprofessional, tone deaf and apparently biased in one-on-one conversations. Clearly didn’t pay attention during their harassment trainings.
6. There is no clear career progression or recognition of effort- unless you are a technical expert or you are very vocal and persistent in your demands. A “career map” has recently been started, but promotions/bonuses are decided based on favorites, by a small group of people at the top. Employees based in the corporate headquarters in Weymouth tend to rise to the top.
