Pros

Working with children is very rewarding. Access to trainings is a plus as well.

Cons

Low pay, Entry level salaries even for fully licensed therapists with years of experience. Untrained supervisors who focus on Thomason’s “bottom line” rather than work/life balance or practitioner’s mental health. Quantity always wins out over quality. LOTS of turnover mainly due to low pay.

Pros

Every member of the staff that I met LOVES working with kids. The dress code is awesome. Leadership understands that employees must be comfortable.

Cons

Leadership does not listen to staff. There appears to be a large amount of decisions being made by a small number of individuals (who were employed together in the past), who have no experience with certain levels of care or certain payor sources.

Pros

Daily interaction with kids, safe & fun enviornment, great coworkers

Cons

Disconnect with upper management, fire good employees for no apparent reason, supervisors selected based on friendships rather than qualifications
