Pros

The pay is higher than most other PRTFs. There are a lot of activities for the children to partake in.

Cons

Management is lax (at least my supervisor is). The policies are contradictory (example: employees are not allowed to have overtime right now, but every shift and every cottage is short-staffed). The children basically have no consequences and are allowed to pretty much do what they want.; any complaint from a child can get someone fired. This company embodies the phrase "too many chiefs, not enough Indians". There are way too many people attempting to run things. The schedule is HORRIBLE unless you work first shift. The schedule is purposely made so that you cannot have any other job. All shifts are 10 or 12 hours long and it is TIRING. There are no breaks so you are working for 10 or 12 hours straight through, you cannot even leave to get food once you clock in.

Pros

Experience working with high needs populations

Cons

CEO and other top leadership value billable hours more than the employees providing them. CEO has unrealistic expectations for the very low pay provided.
