Pros

The Truth about Thru: 1) Staff is great! They treat you like family. 2) Relaxed work environment. Spontaneous ping pong tournaments and Thru fully stocks the kitchen. 3) Everybody here is expected to act and work as professionals. When you meet deadlines and goals then there is zero micro management. 4) CEO cares about his employees. I have seen the CEO provide backing for employees who have hit hard times. I have seen upper management bend over backwards to support their employees. 5) Hours can be long on occasion but is required to get the job done. 6) Fast pace – The one constant is that Thru is always moving to meet the customer’s needs. This sometimes means the employees need to keep up.

Cons

1) From time to time you will be required to do jobs outside of your current position. 2) Grave yard shifts and weekend work are sometime required due to the different countries Thru does business with.

Thru has and will continue to offer to pay for continuing education. If something gets missed bring it up to the executive team, and it will be fixed.

Pros

Office is close to home with food within walking distance.

Cons

I find it a little weird that there are a number of 5 stars reviews for this company. It sounds kinda odd compared to my experience. On the first day of the job, I wanted to quit. They lied about a number of things to make the company sound better during the interview. They have incompetent heading different position based on personal relationship with the CEO. They're quick to lay people off with any notice. You will not get a severance package. Health benefits cost are high and does not cover much. No work/life balance. They expect you to work constantly.

Thru offers 100% coverage for healthcare for the individual and a large percentage of the cost of family with the riches plan from United Health Care. Thru self funds the medical plan and takes the risk. Who does that? Thru is the best job in Dallas for technology personnel. I invite anyone to call into the company and talk to anyone who has the integrity to stick out the challenges of real science and real value creation. Small means diverse responsibility, if you not up for that work somewhere else.
