      Once a great company, now struggling to find its way

      Pros

      Smart and friendly engineers on the grass root level

      Cons

      Mediocrity becomes more evident on the higher management and technical leadership levels, after many management shuffling, mini-layoffs (which did not make sense), and voluntary leaving of many engineers to companies like Facebook, Google, etc.

      Pros

      Working on interesting problems in a fast changing industry. Who can complain about making TV better for people. Nice work/life balance. The company really does care about employees. Customer focused. Much of the company is really focused on the end customer and how to make their experience better. It is a good group of people to work with.

      Cons

      Sometimes chaotic. Many different projects going on at the same time. Many different people sometimes involved in relatively simple decisions.
