Pros

- Competitive Pay - Pretty good benefits - Some people aren't complete clowns

Cons

The tech stack is horribly outdated and you'll spend 90% of your time putting out fires. If you're lucky, the person who caused the problem will still be there, but they probably will have quit. No one has any idea what's going on, leadership is absolutely clueless, even about how much they don't know, and the company is operating in a dying industry. Sales makes promises engineering cannot possibly keep. There's other places to work in the Triangle area - don't make the mistake of working here.

Hopeless company, top heavy, wrong direction

Pros

The company treats employees well, overall. Good benefits, reasonable pay, nice office environment, free fruits, social events once in a while.

Cons

* The company has had a few missteps after the merger of Rovi/TiVo. The stock price is down to the ground. Sadly, no executives are held accountable for it. * The company's management team is a big problem. They lead the company to the wrong direction. The company is very top heavy. Too many VPs, directors, etc. There are always more than enough people who are ready to review, but none of the reviewers can roll up sleeves, get hands dirty to deliver any analysis or results for review. Don't see any value add of so many reviewers. Too many reviewers, very few doers. * Because most of the high level people can't do anything tangible, whenever there are new projects coming up, they just hire contractors. This company has so many contractors that the contractor headcount is almost the same as the regular employee headcount. I've never seen this in any other companies. Top heavy and incompetent managers are the root cause of this. * Nobody connects dots. People just work in silos. It is difficult to get cross-functional works done.
