      Used to have nice product development at TiVo

      Pros

      Great company culture at legacy TiVo. Very flexible work hours and telecommute options (in agreement with your manager). Very open and supportive first- and second-level management

      Cons

      Changed company culture after being acquired by Rovi in 2016. Lack of vision for combined company since Rovi acquisition. CEO announced several months ago that he is pursuing one of 3 possible options: 1. Let TiVo acquire another company 2. Be acquired by another company 3. Make TiVo a private company This impeding change combined with the lack of vision makes it very difficult to motivate people.

      Great place to work with emphasis on diversity

      Pros

      My skill set is valued even though I am an "older" worker. This emphasis on value of the person, regardless of age , highlights TiVo's commitment to diversity in the workplace. I brought experience with TV analytics products and digital advertising both from the advertiser side and supplier side to my new position at TiVo. Highly recommend looking at TiVo in a job search.

      Cons

      Only downside is crazy commute traffic. But that's a given with so many positions in the market.

      Pros

      Great work/life balance, most people are team players and work well together, although having the offices so spread out can sometimes be challenging. People do work hard and are extremely smart and not taken for granted.

      Cons

      As a tech company, TiVo is a little bit behind the times in their technical capabilities and functionality, as well as their marketing.
