Management is terrible

Pros

The corporate culture ideals are good in theory. You'll find friendly coworkers and nice people to work with. TicketNetwork is an innovative company. They do have decent benefits now (finally). Health insurance benefits are pretty good, decent amount of PTO and sick time, good 401k.

Cons

Management is terrible. If you have a nice manager at TicketNetwork, consider yourself lucky. Upper management is very arrogant. Some of middle management should not be in middle management. They need proper manager training. If you are a favorite, you will get pay increases even if you don't produce results - this is the reality. My coworker makes over $10,000 more than I do and we do the same job and have the same title. HR is very unorganized and has no idea what is going on. Their weather policy is also pretty terrible. They make call center employees risk their lives to come to work in dangerous conditions (even when the governor has released federal employees). We only make $12 an hour (pretty pathetic, i know), so we can't afford to buy big trucks or SUVs like our COO. Even though the company allows hotel stays for employees, you still have to drive to the hotel, any my car just barely made it there. I was honestly very scared. Also, even if we use OUR Paid Time Off to cover the snow day we miss, it still counts as an unexcused absence against us. How does that even make any sense?

Pros

Challenging projects Fun place to work Free meals Room for advancement under most managers Continuously profitable company in a high margin industry Great people to work with Minimal politics

Cons

Low starting pay Benefits package isn't the best, but getting more competitive Management needs more training Many managers were given positions out of necessity, not merit More and more red tape being implemented, but not fully adhered to

Pros

TicketNetwork has a lot of positive things going for it - especially the creativity and the drive of its CEO and founder. The story of TicketNetwork is in and of itself an impressive one (ie: how a company started with 2 employees in 2002 and ended up with near 500 employees in 2013/2014). The company continues to be innovative and continues to grow (and hire!!) despite the sagging economy. It offers a lot of perks to employees (great food, great parties, pretty good health care benefits). Its CEO is a hoot - a "character" - who personifies the genius and quirkiness of the company. The company is also impressive in how much it is willing to stake a chance on new talent and how much it is willing to give employees a chance to grow within the corporate walls. Particularly impressive (and refreshing) is the fact that the CEO likes to hire people who interest him and mold them into the company even if they're not an exact fit for a position. That more than anything shows that TicketNetwork is a very people-focused place.

Cons

The company doesn't necessarily pay commensurate with the market - but it's also true that TicketNetwork is unique to be hiring in this economic atmosphere. Changes in management have also been a little uncertain for people - but *uncertainty* is the enemy rather than the particulars of the changes. The company could do a better job with internal training as people move into new positions and departments. The company is also so big that sometimes its different chunks (and brands) don't communicate with each other the way they should.
