Pros

Good amount of PTO and holiday time off

Cons

You will need every second of that PTO because this place will make you hate waking up in the morning. The company is terribly run from the top down. The infrastructure is an absolute mess, probably because TierPoint is made up of a dozen companies that were merged together with seemingly no plan or direction. There is no training when you start and the documentation is outdated and poorly put together (if it even exists at all). Management shut themselves up in their offices all day and you won't see or hear from them until they want to criticize or berate you. This might be a decent place if you're just starting an IT career but do yourself a favor and don't stop looking.

Thank you for your feedback. We are disheartened to hear that you did not have a pleasant experience with TierPoint. We certainly have procedures in place for our staff to report “berating” in the workplace. While it seems this review is after the fact, we will certainly look into this behavior to ensure that our core values remain in alignment. We do take pride in our EOC operation and the value their service provides, both internally and externally. Because of this, we continually work to expand the offering of opportunities into our company through that group because TierPoint’s EOC is an excellent place to start your IT career and grow within our team.

This company is a joke

Pros

Well you can easily tell which members of the HR team have falsified these reviews based on the wording used that's also used in their personal profile. "geographical footprint" "cohesive vision" etc. At least they've upped the anty with canned responses on here.

Cons

Everything. Nothing is consistent. They will drive you to fail if you didn't come from one of their legacy companies.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We are disheartened to learn your experience has not been positive with TierPoint. From the top down, we care very deeply of our employees and we use these reviews to provide us with a better glimpse of employee's perspectives in order to take action and make positive changes. Your opinion does matter and we welcome the opportunity to talk to you and hear how we can further enhance the culture at TierPoint. Please reach out to HR, when/if you are interested in having that conversation. We hope to hear from you soon.

It’s a company preparing itself to be sold

Pros

Hmm I guess a consistent paycheck

Cons

Every Quarter now they are restructuring to reduce headcount and improve margins. The added stress on remaining employees is not a concern as this company will sell itself before long-term problems set in. There is ZERO investment made in any employees, if you want a cert or tuition assistance you will be laughed out your bosses door. It’s hard to imagine how a technology company doesn’t want to invest in the knowledge of its employees but then again why would a company do that if it’s about to be sold? So I guess that makes sense. It’s a culture of fear and anxiety, don’t question leadership, always be available at any time to work and don’t expect anything in return for your hard work and dedication. I’ve never worked anywhere where a company expected more from their employees and provided less in return. Just like the other comments please be aware that these 5 star reviews were planted by HR. They know the word is out this company sucks and they gotta try and hold it altogether until a buyer is found. Joining Tierpoint was a mistake, don’t do what I did.
