Pros

The only pro is the discount.

Cons

2/3 of Tiffany has been fired or quit during the LVMH acquisition. This alone should prove to you how toxic the working conditions are. The whole management team is brainwashed by the current president of company. Managers that used to be supportive and would go out of their way to build you up, are now robots who could care less if you worked there or not. The managers lack empathy and refuse to see you as a real human with a life outside of work. You are often expected to work 6 days straight. If you are closing you can expect to be at the store till 9pm. If you are opening, you must come in 30 minutes early as there are mandatory meetings. Your schedule often gets changed around last minute and you are expected to comply. You will get your schedule the last few days of the month for the upcoming month, not allowing you make any plans. We were also told, “Never book any non-fundable tickets or make any plans before getting the schedule”. The sales plan is insanely high and there is zero support from the management teams. Management steals clients from client advisors to make themselves look good and make themselves appear useful. Also there is 1.75% commission cap that USED TO BE 4%. Please stay away from the Flagship. My advice would be to go to a smaller branch store instead (soho, Wall Street, Hudson yards etc).

Great company image but poor and toxic management

Pros

Tiffany and Co is a well-known luxury brand with a great company image. The brand's reputation for high-quality products and iconic designs is well-deserved. hTe brand remains a true icon in the luxury market.

Cons

Tiffany and Co. can be a challenging place to work for due to the toxic management that fosters a demoralizing culture. Employees may face communication lags and inconsistent feedback, and they often have to repeat themselves, which can be frustrating. The company's policy of leaving employees to figure out the details to complete their work, with minimal time to make up for any errors, can add to the already high-pressure environment. These factors combine to create a work environment that can be demotivating for employees.

Pros

Iconic brand name, looks good on a resume, there's always something to learn, beautiful product (sometimes overpriced, sometimes not), the employee discount is generous. Well paying and good benefits for retail.

Cons

The company has realigned it's financial outlook for the worse and some layoffs soon followed. They have completely gone off the deep end about the Chinese consumer when that market is already showing signs of weakness. My store alone has hired Sales Professionals based on the fact they can speak Mandarin and not their retail experience (kind of a slap in the face to seasoned retail professionals). The internal promotion talk is just that, talk. Not enough new product. The increase in online shopping makes it harder to close sales in the store.
