Pros

Great legacy, amazing discount, lots of perks as found with most large retail companies.

Cons

Incredibly old school mindset with leadership who have never worked anywhere else and are immensely out of touch. As much responsibility as fin or tech but no decision making, compensation, or loyalty to back it up. You will be treated like gold and serve as the solution to ALL the problems until you’ve done the task and are no longer needed or the disorganized, out of touch initiative has passed— and then they will dispose of you with no regard. There’s lot of talk about feedback, the importance of managers, and culture but they can’t even retain those they hire to run those trainings, which is almost laughable. This HR org is fueled by toxic practices with little to no humanity— this is a “mean girl” hazing culture through and through (even from the clueless men amongst). While you are in good graces, little to no growth potential because feedback is so limited and judgement is so high. Those at the top are so insanely overpaid (and at this point, ready for retirement with the minimal levels of work they actually do) while most others are underpaid and thrown into the grind accomplishing the work leadership takes credit for.

Pros

An incredible, historical brand with amazing pieces. Great opportunity for networking and gaining luxury experiences. Pay is good for management. Benefits are also quite extensive,

Cons

Working for Tiffany does not feel like a luxury experience at all. Stores are severely understaffed, there is very little support beyond management for onboarding talent. Managers & directors are overworked and are expected to micromanage their team. I was told because I am a salaried employee I need to be responsive on email/Teams at all times even when on PTO. Upper management has very little visibility into what is going on in stores. Customers are unhappy with servicing pricing and turn around time. I would expect this lack of organization from a small startup, not a large, established luxury brand yet here we are. Employees are fed up and dropping like flies and then the backfill is not onboarded or prepped, therefore making clients upset with their experiences. The events.. don't even get me started. They start off by inviting VIP clients only to then have it be a mad dash and anybody and their mother can be invited. Information is shared so incredibly last minute and they are always a huge mess with no organization.

VERY TOXIC, BULLYING

Pros

When you tell somebody you work for Tiffany, you can see a spark in the eyes and they'll ask you if you get discounts. You get employee discounts.

Cons

* TOXIC: (very) Starting from "Management" all the way down the hierarchy. They will make sure to instigate fear to scare you, so you do as they please. You can see the fear in the eyes, especially in meetings. Some people in "Management" get treated better, only if they like you and you follow their game. * BULLYING: (very) Again, all the way from "Management" down the hierarchy, they will make sure you understand who has the power and makes decisions. They will scream at you. * MICROMANAGEMENT: You will be micromanaged to the last detail, and you have no say in what/when/how things are said. You must follow orders and not challenge your supervisors. * REVOLVING DOOR: Very high turnover, no one lasts more than one year. If you want a job in a toxic environment, with bullying and micromanagement, and mental health consequences, then THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. I'd give it 0 stars if I could, definitely one of the worst places to work.
