Pros

+ strong brand name: Almost everybody knows the brand and has a positive opinion of it, which gets people into the store and makes it look good on a resume. + working with some customers can be enjoyable + beautiful jewelry + good benefits + high commission when sales are good + mostly nice co-workers: They are mostly nice and want to have fun at work. + no local competition: This is probably why the store did well for a while.

Cons

- micro-management: Have you ever had a manager time you while you're in the bathroom? Have you ever had to get signed out any time you want to take a break? Managers are always telling us what to do and it becomes too much. They even tell us what to say and write to our customers, which would be fine if it was actually good and got customers into the store. - Shady management: I think they are pretty manipulative. I once overheard the assistant manager tell somebody how she had a plan to get someone fired. That's probably not the only shady thing they've done or will do. - bad training: The training program is long and boring. Management won't train you and they don't have a plan. They will be able to answer most questions if you ask, but that annoys them. - management with inflated egos: They can be obnoxious and think they rule the world. A couple of them don't belong in a luxury store. One should probably be selling tacos on the street. She wears too much makeup, but is on everyone about dress code. I just wish they were able to help the business so I don't have to eat those tacos. - I don't know what H.R.even does here. Does anyone? - almost impossible sales goals: Sales have been low for a while and constantly missing goals and making little commission is depressing. - catty co-workers: Sales are low and this is when people get selfish and greedy. They also gossip. Sometimes they are talking about someone's weight, how they look, what they said, or what they might be doing out of or in the store. - Some part of the store is always broken. - Tiffany is trying to play catch-up with other brands for high-end jewelry and customers. - small store: People are probably scared to say these things in such a small store where everyone has to work so close together.

A company with a rich heritage and historical brand recognition. High quality product assortment. Generous employee discount program. Opportunities for promotion at store level.

Cons

Outdated IT and CRM systems. Instability and tension due to new leadership. Lack of quality oversight and disconnect between corporate and field teams. Imbalance between sales and support personnel ratio. Minimal back of house space in new stores. Poorly executed product promotions.
