Pros

Well known builder, great for your resume, learning something new everyday, I happen to work with a fantastic sales team that I learn a lot from.

Cons

Serious disconnect between upper management and sales, priorities are completely unaligned with what they should be (stop the "team building partying" and the nonsense and focus on strategizing on how to build homes), no room to grow in the particular division I work for, favoritism throughout the division.

Pros

Vacation houses are awesome to use. Benefits include discounted stock shares and health/life insurance. The amount of vacation days go up after you've been there for five years.

Cons

Trying to take a vacation or just simply a day off during "peak" periods is difficult. No work/home balance. Expect to work every weekend and only take vacations in the summer. Pay is not good. Other new home builders have better pay rates and bonuses. There is a big disconnect between upper management and sales people. The company seems to have no clue what is going on in the market and what trends are hot. They are very slow to make change and very cheap.
