Anyone who has a positive review about TBI Mortgage must be from HR. You'll do well here if you're a complete idiot and a good kisser upper. Good ideas are shot down or perceived as threats. Constant turnover. It's unbelievable. Blatant and outright discrimination. Flashback to the 40s. They had a clear case of discrimination or company culture issue and let go just about all of a 'certain kind of people'... problem solved. They use temps to add a little diversity to the office. They always have someone on hand to blame when crap hits the fan and crap always hits the fan. Great job if you enjoy mediocrity and were the popular kid in middle school.

Benefits are good and easy to manage. Other departments ither than mortgage seem to be enjoying themselves.

Cons

There's a borderline gang mentality. If you're not in the clique, you need to watch your back. Stupidity and immaturity wins. It's embarrassing.

Public company; leader in its industry.

Cons

Very toxic work environment. Senior management takes joy in humilating associates. Yelling is a common form of communicating. Bonuses are delayed and "held" over your head, commonly referred in the company as "handcuffs" to keep people around.

Pros

Over the course of 40 years the company has built a reputation for putting out a quality product. In addition, the benefits package is decent and there are some nice onsite amenities in the corporate office.

Cons

Too many employees have been here for more than 20 years. While that history is good, people are too comfortable with the way things always were and there's not much in the way of innovation. In addition to ancient policies and procedures, the systems and processes have not been updated and do not reflect "best practices" in the industry.
