Looking professional everyday Working with wealthy clients / building connections SOME understanding co workers and SOME genuine people along the way if you choose to surround yourself with the 10% of wholesome staff. Teaches what working hard can get you monetarily Glamorous meetings Scheduling freedom Tons of opportunity for incentive trips

Cons

This company is absolutely a cult. If you don’t fit the office culture your are ostracized and there is no support or sympathy for the toll this position takes on your family life. My former employee of Tom James was asked / put in positions at Tom James that made me extremely uncomfortable multiple times, and once a TOP PERFORMER (she loved to remind me of this) even told me that I should consider “that there is something wrong with me” for not thinking that it was okay that she forced him to work from her HOME for an entire morning or she would not TRAIN him. That is not something you tell your co-workers significant other no matter what your rank, and a top performer should not be so narcissistic as to provide co workers with ultimatums that hurt their families. If you are in a relationship THINK TWICE about joining this company.

Cons

Horrible abuse of power, saw so many things that are completely inappropriate actions from other employees, and things I saw done to customers. Swiping cards when people haven't bought anything to drum up sales, inappropriate touching just disgusting.

If you have a manager that you like and understands there is a life outside of tom James, it could be a great place to work. Good luck finding someone who thinks there is a life outside of tom James.

Cons

My manager was Unprofessional. He made everyday living he (double hockey sticks) for me. He did drop offs to my referrals and management did nothing about it. He would call the person that referred me to the job on a regular basis and talk negatively about me, but he would never say a word to me about it. He would never even approach me about the negative things he would say. He was a 50 year old man trapped in a teenage girl body. After I left the job, I found out that he has hired several people and only one person has lasted (this guy is in a different office.) hmmm I wonder why. He complained to management about me being in two weddings. Hello, I am a 25 year old girl. I am sorry my friends like me. He would claim people were good active clients when the system would tell me he hadn't sold to them in 10 years. He was a horrible leader. He is the only person in this world that I hope I never see again. They force you to go out of town and don't pay you for it. They force you to take sales classes and they all tell you the same thing: their story on why they are successful. The company is so brainwashed it's crazy. If you invest in the company, you realize you don't get the money if you leave.
