Pros

-friendly coworkers -events in store for holidays, we received Christmas gifts and Halloween candy -flexible scheduling -understanding if you need to book a day off -strong team of people who work well together

Cons

-if it's busy they don't give you all your breaks (should be 2 fifteen minute breaks and one 30 minute in 8 hours, I would get neither of the 15 minute breaks during the busy holiday season) -overly strict managers -training is brief and doesn't prepare you for the job, must learn most things on your own -not the cleanest working environment, store is always messy -rude/difficult customers

Pros

Flexible and a great place to learn customer service skills and other things like onlije order placements.

Cons

Not great training from managers. Many times I saw people being thrown to trainer to trainer. The trainer would have no idea they were even training.

It was fun while it lasted....

Pros

Authentic 'Team' atmosphere, "Promotion from within" attitude, lots of product and professional training, interacting and playing with the kids and customers that came in to shop.

Cons

very aggressive upselling goals encouraged and enforced with misleading, borderline illegal , often harassing sales tactics. And absolutely no consideration of your time and responsibilities outside of the store. During the holidays its non stop busy from open to close , after the holidays the store is minimally staff so anything extra like seasonal resets, inventory, and community events, the staff is expected to work in addition to their 40 hr scheduled time regardless if it broken local labor laws or an employee's prior obligations outside of the job.
