Pros

-Stable company. Large company name. -Vacation is ok and get an extra week after five and ten years. -Somewhat flexible hours

Cons

-Horrible employee retention. Prefer to keep OK employees willing to work for bad pay. Don't care about paying to retain top talent. -Incentivized to simply 'do the job'. No incentive to go above and beyond -Saying "We have a great culture! We have a great culture!" does not actually mean it's a great culture -poor pay -little opportunity for advancement -promote based on seniority and not merit -No room for good ideas - "that's how we've always done it..."

Pros

You get a lot of freedom to help customers because it seems to be the number one priority of the company, I have seen on many occasions where the store took a loss to replace something that was clearly broken because of a lack of knowledge by the customer to use it properly and it was replaced no questions ask even without a warranty.

Cons

They offer vary poor pay for the amount of work that is required, of course this depends on your position. For the receiver I make $10.33 per hour with set hours 7am to 3pm which is nice except I am always moving and staying late to finish my work, this is mainly because I am constantly pulled away from my job to do other peoples jobs because they are incapable of meeting the expectations of their job but the manager refuses to let anyone go.

Pros

Great job for someone in high school or college.

Cons

Where do I start? Pay is so low the turnover at my store in Michigan was over 60%. Not enough people working daily to give "legendary customer service." Too much heavy lifting, you won’t need a gym membership. Animal feed, dog food, salt blocks and more are 50 lbs or more. It's not uncommon for customers to ask/need 10 to 20 hand loaded into their vehicles. You will have no help doing so. District Managers are a joke, if you get a good one, be very happy. There is not a plan in place for moving up the ranks, just outlast your coworkers. New hires are giving more pay than seasoned workers. Women should be prepared to be looked upon as a "brainless" by most male customers for all areas other than in the clothing department. Did I mention that the pay is horrible. As a summer job okay, but if you are looking for a career, keep looking. Don't work here.
