Pros
The only pro I can think of is that over the years I met some excellent people. We bonded well because of the environment at the store.
Cons
Over worked, underpaid, under staffed, under appreciated. Extremely heavy, repetitive lifting. Forced to listen to muzak. Most of the time there was no time for me, as a receiver, be even have a required lunch break. Poor corporate management that focuses on the bottom line rather than the quality of products, or the amount of employees available to serve customers. Managers receive bonuses for reducing payroll, so that's basically incentive to run the store with no help on a daily basis. A typical day, there are three employees in the store at one time. And, as receiver, I was outside unloading or loading trucks, often leaving just two people inside to assist customers.
