Pros

Co-workers generally have your back

Cons

The big boss (and I mean BIG) is moody and often inappropriate. She plays favorites, so her friends that are chronically late never get disciplined. The main shift supervisor plays with toys, and sleeps at his desk. Ask him for help and he recommends looking up the answer on-line. The Verizon product the staff supports is flawed, and often does not work. The callers are often frustrated and angry, and there is often no way to help them. There is little incentive to advance. Wages are kept low compared to the expectations of the company. Verizon makes ridiculous demands on the employees, and transcosmos doesn't pay enough per hour to make the hassle worth it. Most call centers in the area start their employees at least $2.00 per hour more than transcosmos. The head trainer hasn't taken an actual call in about 4 years, so her expectations through Verizon are not commensurate with with amount and type of work expected. Her training 'style' is extremely dry, contradictory, and inconsistent.

Pros

Transcosmos is well-known company as Call Center (Customer Service Outsourcing) and IT in Japan. Financially stable thanks to HQ in Japan.

Cons

Not so many ongoing projects in US. Pay low and employer expect us a lot. Providing one-stop EC service to US brands which would have challenges in Japan market to localize, however, Transcosmos America don't have experts to manage them well. Just translate but won't increase revenue for their clients. Unclear organization. Management doesn't care about employee's growth.
