Pros

Young coworkers, some interesting material, connecting with translators all over the world.

Cons

Unreasonable amount of work with no overtime given, and no time and a half when employees come in on holidays. Managers tend to play favorites, which can lead new hires to feel alienated. Salary is incredibly low to live any kind of enjoyable life in NYC.

Pros

I have never seen a company so dedicated to its employees. This company, not only excepts you as part of its family but ensures you have time for yours. Recently, my mom was diagnosed with cancer. The company paid for me to go back home to spend time with my mom and allowed me to work remotely until the heavy part was over. Also, working for TPT, is a family in itself. Everyone is so kind, generous, inviting and loyal. It's hard to find a company these days so inviting. I love working for TPT.

Cons

Obviously, with any career, you are required to put in the time to ensure success. It is challenging at times but it does make up in other ways like happy hour with your team. Dinners, travel, training opportunities and experiencing NYC. Annual salary could be more. Again, TPT makes it up in other ways, such as benefits, dinners, lunches and friendships. I know these don't sound like cons. I suppose I'm greatful for the opportunity that TPT has given me. I hope to move up the ranks at TPT.

Pros

Lots of room for growth, mainly if you are able to outlast most people, so if you are committed, you can definitely gain good work experience. Competitive pay once you prove your worth, and they are usually open to negotiating. Average age of coworkers is mid 20s.

Cons

Average workday is 12hrs. Upper management consists of young people who have extremely inflated egos and have no business managing people. Most sales people take Production for granted, and expect them to work around the clock to support them. In general, the company preys on young, desperate professionals who don't have much work experience (and don't know any better) so that they can work their employees into the ground. Nobody - not your boss, not your boss' boss, not your coworkers - cares about you as an individual. You really don't want to work here. Really.
