Pros

I bonded with my coworkers in the trenches and made some amazing, life-long friends. I also learned how to protect myself from being burnt out in my career, and how to weed out future employers.

Cons

My advice for future potential employees is to just look elsewhere. There ARE companies out there who stand behind being a good quality service provider, TPT is notoriousyl not one of them. You’re already doing research by reading Glassdoor reviews, Google the company and read the news articles of the CEOs and that should tell you enough. Heads up: they pay people and force employees to write good reviews here, they get in trouble if they don’t do it. You can easily tell the real reviews from the fake ones if you read between the lines. This company falsely claims to have such great transparency and communication with their employees and brags about their focus on training good people to ensure they stay, when in fact the opposite is true. Training is solely “trial by fire” with no support or guidance, only a few empathetic PMs who may or may not have just been hired themselves. Senior Management only cares about how much revenue comes in and beating last quarter/last year’s numbers which are broadcasted to the entire company, broken down by each office & their Department Manager for all to see. This mind set trickles down to the production level, which means Project Managers are nothing more than workhorses who must yield to the demands of sales (as that’s how sales is trained). There are a **FEW** sales people who actually know what they’re doing and the work that needs to be done in order to satisfy the clients’ needs in a respectable manner. That said, 95% of the time it doesn’t matter how uneducated a clients’ demands are, PMs are told not to question ANYTHING and to just do what it takes to get it done. Sales is instructed to include entire offices on communication emails, they are also told to squeeze production and push as hard as they can in order to get the work done, the mindset being “they’ll have no choice but to just get it done”. This is degrading to PMs and ultimately to the linguists in order to squeeze every last cent to improve revenue streams. They make up job titles to hoodwink employees into staying, evidenced by the fact that Senior PMs/PMs/Executive PMs/Team Leads/Project Coordinators all do the same job. This just makes your experience here a cruel joke that will provide little to no benefit when you find that better opportunity. Speaking of, there is zero career growth within the PM world. I was told that I needed 5 years experience to get a “promotion”, meanwhile Project Coordinators received “promotions” to Project Manager or Team Lead within 6 months to a year of their start date. I quickly learned those promotions didn’t matter anyway because we all do the exact same job. When I finally did give my notice it felt as though they did not at all care that a long standing Senior PM was leaving. There was no attempt to try to keep me at the company, my manager didn’t even say goodbye or wish me luck in person. OH, and I've doubled my salary in the 1.5 years since I left - they pay PMs extremely low.

Pros

Great place for an entry level job. You'll learn a lot in a short period of time and leave with a highly marketable set of skills.

Cons

Everything. This is probably the worst place that I have ever worked. From the top down it's poorly run. They are cheap, dishonest, and disorganized. Management and Middle Management is a joke and often times learning how to do their jobs on the fly. Compensation is terrible. Benefits are terrible. Work/Life balance is non existent. If you are over the age of 25 and have any work experience this is not the place for you.

Pros

Coworkers awesome and supportive because we were all in the same miserable boat. Lots of responsibility--you learn A LOT.

Cons

Underpaid, overworked. Raises? Laughable. Few holidays. Zero work/life balance. Pressured to take accounts/work late without overtime. High turnover.
