Pros

Highly entrepreneurial company with a lot of potential for employee growth. This is a great company for someone who is hard-working because there are a lot of opportunities for career advancement. I started as a temporary admin and over the course of several years, was provided with the opportunity to learn new software and skills, and eventually a new profession. They always said, "yes!" when I asked for new tools, which was awesome. The President of the Midwest Region at the time (now someone different) was a huge advocate for employees having opportunities for career advancement. I also had a wonderful boss in my department for the majority of my time there who was also very helpful in advocating for me.

Cons

There was a bit of a "boys club" culture, and a feeling that the brokers were more important than everyone else in the firm (i.e. even the creative director didn't have an office, which is kind of ridiculous). I feel there was a lack of respect by some brokers for the support staff (not everyone, but a few). I sometimes felt like a second class citizen because I wasn't a producer.

Pros

Overall a good company with solid values and principles. Generally, it cares about it's employees development and promotes a healthy work life balance and treats its people accordingly.

Cons

A significant portion of their business comes from third party owners so depending on the assignment and third party owner, Transwestern's values may be in conflict with the third party owner's in terms of treatment of people.

Pros

Honest and great company to work for. The people really value your work and also makes you feel important.

Cons

Benefits are not so great, pay could be better, and have to build up hours to accumulate your vacation days.
