Pros

Great benefits and holiday leave. The work is rewarding, you get to help people in the community. Job allows good work/life balance, you can leave it at the office at 5 pm. They gave us the tools to work from home during the pandemic (i.e. printer/scanner, docusign, cellphone)

Cons

High upper management shows lack of awareness of what the work entails and how community centers run on a day to day basis. Input from workers is not taken into consideration when making policy decisions. Lack of training. You have to highly depend on your coworkers to show you the ropes. There is no organized training set up for new workers.

Pros

Staff inclusion regarding health care, remote/hybrid work, and a lot of other changes they intend to make.

Cons

Public sector so pay isn't as good as private sector.
