Pros

Discounts on Trek merch? If at this point you are still into that sort of thing.

Cons

If a company has to tell you they provides a fun-loving work culture they are probably not being honest. They are going to try to pay you as little as possible, while increasing your responsibilities and work load. For example, Trek Albuquerque had a $5 Million dollar sales goal for the year, predicting their "biggest year of service yet!" but stagnant compensation for employees. Opportunities for growth are often limited, and career advancement paths are unclear, leading to frustration for those seeking upward mobility. The environment was toxic, often backstabbing culture. I watched the Service Manager personally push out multiple long-term employee's out of the company but the General Manager turn a blind eye because he was happy with the numbers. Sigh.

Pros

Discounts on Trek Products are amazing

Cons

-“Every man for themselves” team mentality -Management will take advantage of you and work you without pay at times -Their “great place to work survey” score is fake and management gives out gift cards if you come back with a high enough score so the staff fake the scores to the gift cards. -No raises have been given since the pandemic -After layoffs happen, you are given the workload of the employees who were laid off for no extra pay. When you can’t complete the workload of several people you are then fired or forced to resign. Myself and half of my service department stopped working there after repeated work practices

Pros

probably higher pay that the rest of the industry, but they'll low ball you anyway.

Cons

People work off the clock due to pressure from management to control labor budget. People are offered time to "hang out" off the clock to improve the facilities, painting, installing cabinetry, team building, and other. people have been asked to break federal safety laws, when brought up to hr and safety director, safety director decided to "pretend like this never happened." Management doesn't exhibit trust towards employees, instead micromanagement of staff is common, creates overwhelming sense of anxiety in the work place. Work is unfulfilling due to poor manufacturing and having to give things away to make customers happy (can't honestly stand behind a quality product). Difficult to hit goals due to constant warranty work. Store management and above has no idea about retail and what human leadership looks like. Management is unable to accept feedback, and will approach you about negative feedback even when feedback is "anonymous" as part of "Great Place to Work" surveys. The company cares more about hitting numbers than how those numbers are hit, people lie and manipulate the system to hit the numbers.
