      Great working environment at the store. Plenty of training. Good pay.

      Cons

      Heavy focus to produce sales despite lack of inventory or customer flow. Aggressive leaders. 45hr work weeks.

      Pros

      At 30 hours even part time employees get full benefits. The employee discount is nearly unbeatable. The general culture is outstanding. The company has numerous training and volunteer opportunities to get involved with improving local communities.

      Cons

      At the retail/store level, corporate is blind. Management personnel need training. Management personnel can and will try to discipline lower level employees when they don't cover for them/do their jobs for them. It is expected to put in more hours than are actually scheduled, regardless of other obligations.

      Rewarding work and lifestyle, in the middle of nowhere with adequate pay.

      Pros

      I find the work to be highly rewarding with a quick product lifecycle. In just a few years I’ve worked on the same platform multiple times, each time pushing the element further. We strive for best in class every time. The lifestyle is great. Daily bike rides, 15 miles of MTB trails, fun people, beer regularly, grill outs, etc.

      Cons

      Challenges are the same challenges faced by most companies, especially bike companies. Budget isn’t a problem on some products but others it is crippling. Management sometimes isn’t willing to create a game changing product. We’re often a full generation (or two) late to the party - which is frustrating when our R&D would have lead the market and even more frustrating when we are blind to the growing demand. The office is in Waterloo, WI - which is 35 minutes from downtown Madison by car. Biking to work from downtown is a significant devotion of your time - round trip is 48 miles.
