Pros

Trendmaker is a great company to work for. It is a true team atmosphere. Management is fair and your goals are always very clear. Open door policy all the way to the top. They welcome your recommendations and encourage feedback. Feels good to work for a company that you always know will do what is right. You can get your job done and still have a balanced work/fun/family life.

Cons

Pay is less than comparable Houston Builders. Benefits changed some with the change in ownership. Overall still a great package and recently we received an extra week of vacation.

First of all, we appreciate your feedback. Without knowing the specific position you are referring to, it is hard to tackle questions of compensation directly. Please see HR so I can address your specific concern. However, generally speaking, our company participates in and reviews industry salary surveys and strives to meet and exceed industry standards not just in base pay but in total compensation. Though the process is not perfect and it is difficult to keep up with market changes, providing employees with proper compensation is the ultimate goal. Also, every employee participates in an incentive/bonus plan. So again, please see HR with any questions you may have on your specific plan. There are always some changes with new ownership. However, I can tell you that our parent company is reviewing our benefit offering and is working on enhancements for the new year. Thanks again for your feedback!

Thanks for the feedback. It is true that our industry is a challenging one. The company recognizes this which is why we attempt provide a fun environment with activities for employees and their families and are always looking to improve our perks and benefits, such as moving to a best in class vacation program and providing a compressed work week for our office employees. There are always changes when there is a transition to new ownership. However, I know that our parent company is currently working on analyzing our current benefit offering and researching improvements for the future. Stay tuned!
