Pros

The work is very interesting and cutting edge.

Cons

Sometime people or programs just disappear out of the blue. There is no training and people are expected to perform and if they don't there are consequences. Many people in management should not be in those positions. It is not worth it to work here if you are a young professional/engineer. You are better off going to a bigger company where they are patient and have quality personnel to help develop your career.

Pros

Work Independently Benefits You get to work on current day technology Office Space

Cons

Seniors and Management will do whatever to preserve themselves at the cost of losing trust Long hours, however its your fault for working long hours but with the expectation that it has to be done (really long hours) Travel is terrible you will pay for thousands of dollars from your own pocket. You will be reimbursed months later in some cases Qualifications are not captured well outside of development Pay is not competitive Employees managing projects know nothing of the signal flow or the development process in most cases, but have to order for clients based around a particular technology. its a lot of hand holding to be that underpaid Some Upper management are out of touch engineers (its a gift and a curse) and can most times only reference one aspect of engineering when making calls or understanding work utilization. I had to explain to someone why a Conference would not work traversing a DOD network to our corporate but the same individuals will question the hours you work 50 percent of employees are unhappy or jaded 25 percent are not able to tolerate the absurd requirements Paints a picture for clients capturing work force but not conveying that they are not dedicated engineers and are between 3 to 4 projects at anytime which causes long hours Best and worst job I ever had I hate that I love it so much The company does not invest in test environments you will have to re create the wheel every-time from scrap to replicate an issue which adds to long hours Planing 6 months in advance for us is impossible usually fly from the seat of our pants
