Pros

Decent base salary if you get signing bonus of $1000/ mth for five months.

Cons

You can rarely hit significant commissions. Expected to usually work Saturdays long after you have been told you wint have to. Working 10-8 often. Daily whole sales staff is threatened with firing. Very Glengarry Glen Ross atmosphere. Give up your self respect and live on peanuts and this is a great job.

Pros

It was close to my home

Cons

EVERYTHING.. I just took this position until a REAL CAREER came through - If you are a TRUE Sales Professional: IE: Account Executive / Account Manager you will comprehend what I am referring to. This position is really set up for individuals who are not educated and are willing to be 'abused'. The pay the company offers is not a livable income, $500 / week and they advise you it is a salaried position - the reason - Company and Management expect you to work OVER 45 hours a week - this is how the Company gets away with not paying over time - again - Shysters Their commission structure should not be considered anything but a little bonus - You also have to be very wary of the individuals they 'team' you up with when in training, if you make a sale the manager you are with will take the sale or at least the 'larger' part of the sale and check it off as if he had made the deal. When you confront them in regards to their 'steeling' they will ignore you - didn't work with me. Walking door to door harassing home owners is not sales - Management and company takes advantage of its employees - they should be ashamed of their 'tactics' - it took all of my energy to bite my tongue when I was resigning - although, the Managers in Norcross, GA were trying to 'intimidate' me - I have Lupus and RA - advised them that the 'walking' was too hard on my body asked if I could go into a different position - instead their TACTICS were intimidation - For me - I just opted to leave - for what they paid and having and having BULLIES as managers was a waste of my time.. IT was aprox 3 weeks of my life that I will never get back - If they were smart - they would have utilized my Background, Education and Experience - they were oblivious to see what they had in front of them - I was too good to work for a company like this - the unfortunate truth is this is a company that has high turnover - they hire people they can take advantage of - And ironically - they are still emailing me and calling me to work back in the same office - NO THANKS!

Pros

The base pay is good as some sales jobs offer little to no base pay. The management was very helpful and the best I've ever had. Overall it was a good atmosphere to work in. The benefits were also good (medical, vision, dental, retirement, vacation etc ) and available after a few months. It was completive yet everyone was very encouraging. It was also really nice to be outside during the spring and summer months. Overall it was a good entry level sale position with good experience.

Cons

The hours are very long and often involved weekends. I would not recommend to anyone who wants to spend time with their kids/family or have any kind of personal life outside of working and sleeping. The base pay is good but is not worth the hours unless you are able to exceed goals every week and get commission. They also reimburse for gas but it was not worth the toll that driving up 2 to hours away took on my personal vehicle. It also involves dealing with a lot of unfriendly and rude people that can be difficult to handle all day every day.
