Pros

For the most part you can work 6 days per week. 1.5x pay after 40 hours which is a plus. Every month if the branch is doing well with retention and sales, specialist are rewarded with a retention bonus each month, approx. 200-225 per month.

Cons

Pay is low. They start you off at 12.50 hour which isn't the worst, but for this job it should be 15 hour. Its a tough demanding job where you have to do a ton of physical work, a ton of paper work and other tedious work. Equipment is average, so when one breaks guys are taking another co worker's and its a big cycle. They lure you in with saying its only going to be 4-10 hour days but its rarely 4 days a week. Always at least 5. They jam sales down your throats for Lawn Specialist. At times you have to fight tooth and nail to actually get your commission.

Pros

Some guerilla style training that prepared me to be productive at other companies. If you were fortunate enough to get higher levels of Branch Management and up the pay had a chance to be very comfortable.

Cons

Insane demands on employees. Unrealistic goals. Attrition stacked upon more attrition for the associate experience. You would push your employees so far with promises of benefits of "sticking it out" and how "the company remembers hard workers and won't forget your loyalty that you've shown". Senior leadership bullies branch level management into making bad decisions and threatens front line associates into moving out of state for jobs that they eliminate within months. I once had a Regional VP contact me the day after not sending technicians on the road to do production during a Tropical Storm (People were evacuated from their homes) and asked me "Who do you think you are to not send out your workers? I guess you don't understand what we're trying to accomplish here"

Terrible company

Pros

None. Not a one. Pros were leaving.

Cons

Terrible company to work for. Benefits....trash. Good luck finding someone to take their insurance. Basic PTO and 401k plan. Instead of monetary bonuses you get to earn points and pick prizes out for catalog....what are we doing....selling candy bars door to door? This company BLATANTLY LIES to customers about their products being safe for children and pets. Imagine taking a call where someone is calling in due to the dog eating the pellets and dying. Absolutely terrible commission plan. 2% per sale for pre pay and 1% for payment plan sales. This equates to pennies on the dollar. Terrible culture. Instead of growing and honing in a sales reps skills they are thrown right to the lions handing dialing cancels for weeks to months of people who hate this company or dialing cold and I mean COLD leads. Grinding down as many agents as possible to burnout and quit or get fired for not meeting metrics. Avoid this company at all costs if you value your mental health. This company does not care about employees just the dollars they make the suits.
