      ok except winter layoff

      Pros

      Being outdoors and meeting great customers. The schedule is great only being a 4 day work week.

      Cons

      We get laid off for up to 3 months in winter. You are still required to pay for insurance and benefits and will receive a bill in the mail while you draw unemployment.

      The grass is getting greener at TruGreen

      Pros

      Now as a stand alone company the culture is improving. They have a fairly good commission rate and you are paid weekly. If you keep hitting your weekly sales goals, they do not micro manage you.

      Cons

      Seasonal which brings in too many untrained uncaring sales people. Customer retention is controlled too much by the lawn techs and service managers. If you have a good tech, the customers are happy.. A bad tech can ruin your sales and the service manager is no help.

      Good company with the right values

      Pros

      The company has made huge progress this year. While it doesn't always live up to it's values it is coming closer every day and the values are real. The teamwork between departments and between the field and corporate teams has improved dramatically. Customer ratings and retention have improved dramatically. When things are not done in an honorable way appropriate action is taken.

      Cons

      While we are a lot better. we still have a ways to go. 2014 was a turnaround year in which we laid a foundation to build one in 2015.
