Pros

This law firm sets the standard for me if I ever have to move into another law firm. I really feel privileged to work for this firm. They truly prioritize the well-being of every employee here. I've definitely been challenged while I've been working here, but I truly gain nothing but knowledge and experience through my time here.

Cons

There isn't a glaring con that I need to spend time going into detail with to be honest. I really am very happy in my place in this D.C. law firm.

Pros

- Staff works well together - Work is interesting - Schedule is flexible - Pay is above average

Cons

- Managers do not have an understanding of the jobs their subordinates do. - Managers foster a hostile work environment. - Managers prefers degrading emails to walking five feet and talking with staff - Management constantly micro-manages with little to know direction. - New Managers needs to take off "floaties". - "Open door" policy leads to retaliation. - You are scolded like a child for mistakes. - All actions against employees are meant to be punitive and not meant to assist in rehabilitation.

Pros

The satellite office employees were wonderful and supportive, location was great.

Cons

The managers work out of the main office in Albany, NY and between each office, seemed to have difficulty understanding how different the DC marketplace is in comparison to upstate NY. Lots of politics relating to governance and overabundance of policies that govern 100% of firm action (including restroom visits). Always a "big brother" feel from the higher ups and a condescending management style from execs on all levels, including the CEO.
