Pros

There were some genuinely great people who worked here, both lawyers and admin staff. I never had to take work home, but that was mainly due to a lack of WFH options.

Cons

Heed the warnings of any review that is anything less than 5 stars. Management likes to push new hires who don't know better and those who are part of the inner circle to write 5 star reviews to pad out their rating and drown out negative reviews. Understand that as a legal assistant, you will likely be overworked, underpaid, and viewed as little more than a machine to get money from clients. You are, in the eyes of management, a bill collector first and an actual legal assistant second. You will be hounded to collect on retainers constantly, even at the expense of maintaining a decent relationship with the clients your attorneys are supposed to assist. The firm constantly talks up how cutting edge they are with technology and how they are at the forefront of law firm business models, this is simply untrue. They do not allow paralegals to work remotely outside of very specific scenarios (such as being sick with COVID), the benefits are lacking, the office culture is non-existent, and it seems like they are being outpaced in what they provide employees by their competitors. This does not even begin to touch on issues like high turnover (the place is a revolving door, they've lost so many awesome people), unruly clients, the finance department constantly being in dissaray, lack of connection between management and their employees, and an overall atmosphere of anxiety/frustration/discomfort.
