Pros
I LOVE working for this firm. The Buffalo Team is very welcoming and willing to show me the ropes. I've learned so much, in such a professional and kind way, that I'm eager to learn more. I thoroughly enjoy meeting with clients, attorneys and paralegals to provide a stress-free closing and enjoy working sales, purchase AND bank files when given the opportunity. I've also started working as support staff for two (2) military attorneys and as sad as some of the situations are, I've become an advocate for fighting for veterans rights. I'm blessed to be made aware of the struggles in the military and given the gift to care and help those that have been wronged. I literally love my job, what the firm offers and comfort knowing I'm accepted, appreciated and trusted.
Cons
I wish the newer hires received more benefits after the first year. Extras including a birthday and anniversary off, and anniversary lunch with the attorney we represent and cash bonuses would go a long way!! I also work very hard and I think we ALL need a mental health day quarterly. Some of the things I've been exposed to in military law are heartbreaking and shocking. I spend a bit of time at my desk crying and regrouping (often) as I've never been exposed to what the military sees and does on a daily basis.
