Pros

At Turner Construction Co. the employees are the greatest assets. This being said Turner recognizes this and offers employees great benefits, competitive salary, and extensive professional training. Turner aims to retain employees for life. Their core values are integrity, teamwork, and commitment which aligns with how they treat their employees. They stress work/life balance and certainly support it. Overall a great place to work minus the CONS listed below.

Cons

There are not many cons to working for Turner, especially depending on how driven you are. I'm a very motivated and intelligent individual whom expects to be rewarded for going above and beyond. Turner does not do a very good job of meeting my needs in this area. They seem to treat everyone in the same manner whether they are the "A" players or "C" players. This leads to Turner not retaining their top talent. Salaries are generally lower than other construction companies especially if you are a "go-getter" as described above. Very corporate structure.

Pros

The company is lead by an extremely qualified group of individuals who live the company's core values. There is a definite culture of teamwork and integrity.

Cons

Construction in general has very long hours when compared to other disciplines. The worst part about Turner is that sometimes your direct manager may not be the sharpest tool in the shed but there is opportunity to grow. Turner should do even more to help develop their people by backing them financially for higher level degrees. Train people so they can leave, treat them so that they won't
