      Growing Pains

      Pros

      Turner is a large company and is involved with challenging projects.

      Cons

      Portland office is not well established and experienced growing pains during my employment there. Majority of management were from out of town and not part of the community.

      Pros

      Career growth opportunities, tuition reimbursement, health benefits, cultural, age & gender diversity , career training, "sky's the limit" depending on your ability to keep up. Really smart and innovative people, educated, fast pace, 5 years at Turner equates to 10 years of construction industry experience.

      Cons

      Not enough vacation, 3 wks after 5yrs w/Company, 4wks after 15yrs. Long work day, normal work day 6:30am to 5:30pm. Weekend work required, Promotion's are far and few, raise percentages not enough for the hours worked. Equates to emotional & physical draining, really hard to get rid of dead weight personnel.
