Thank you for sharing your candid feedback. We're pleased to hear you enjoy our remote-first culture and total rewards package. Regarding your additional feedback on your experience with our leadership team, we are always looking to increase our leaders' knowledge of the day-to-day experiences of our employees. Our Company's Cultural Norms include starting from a position of trust and assuming positive intent, engaging in open and honest two-way communication and routinely participating in feedback exchanges (with candor and care). As this is the culture we are cultivating, in a non-retaliatory and safe environment, we encourage our employees to also be vocal about their experiences within their team and department, including with their manager and/or senior leader. Each of us plays a role in shaping the culture we wish to see and sustain, and hearing directly from our team members can only help us to get and be better. As a former employee, you'll likely be familiar with our quarterly Company Meetings where the topic of AI is ever-present. Our ambition is to not only innovate on the detection of AI, but actively leverage AI and Large Language Models to further support the needs of our customers. Our teams are hard at work innovating and strengthening our product offerings to address the opportunities AI presents for our business.

Thanks for your feedback; we're sorry you had a poor experience. We have systems in place for seeking out and acting on employee feedback, such as our regular manager check-ins, our People team resources, and our employee engagement survey – it's too bad we're getting your feedback on management now, as a former employee. We've had one restructuring post-our many acquisitions over the past couple years to get us to the organizational structure to support our future business. We align with you on your pros - working with teachers and districts is very impactful and serves our mission to ensure the integrity of global education and meaningfully improve learning outcomes!

Hard to know where you fit in

Pros

Great people at the mid-level; real flexibility makes for great work/life balance.

Cons

There's little understanding of your role -- of who you report to, who reports to you, etc. I was constantly unsure of how "senior" or "not senior" I was, considering the way management would at times expect a great deal of self-direction and at times treat us like children. I was also given a huge raise before being let go. The bosses just under C-level are awful, petty people.
