      Very Helpful part time position for students

      Pros

      Tutor Me Education is a good company to work for a little bit of extra money. You get to choose your hours and chose students that need your hours and since it’s remote, you don’t need to drive anywhere and it easy to do later in the evening since the students are west coast.

      Cons

      Not a full time position with benefits, no option to withhold income for taxes, so it may cause issues at tax time. Sometimes students cancel at the last minute and you have to choose to either report them as a no show and potentially lose the student, or not get paid that day, which is frustrating.

      Pros

      Working with passionate faculty and tutors. Learning how to engage with high needs students in a relaxed setting. Comfortable schedule. Creative freedom.

      Cons

      Admin is a little disorganized with some frivolous expectations, but overall they do care and are flexible.

      Easy to apply for tutoring gigs through their Google forms Clear # of hours & pay expectations

      Cons

      Hit or miss with clients. Some clients don’t have control over their kids & so tutoring their kids online are hard. Company is too stringent with meeting the monthly contract hours quota when it’s clear the monthly contract hours quota are excessive and unrealistic to execute as a tutor despite constant communications with the family and reworking tutoring hours to try to meet them.
