Pros

I would describe absolutely nothing positive about US Bank

Cons

The culture is toxic. Leadership is toxic and getting worse. It's like a high school drama where people are promoted because of who they know, not what they know. The place is a disaster. Stay away

Pros

There aren't any to be honest.

Cons

Poor Leadership: Since 2019, U.S. Bank’s leadership has made a series of questionable decisions, resulting in significant disruption across the organization. In just the past 17 months, these actions have cost tens of thousands of employees their livelihoods. The recent appointment of Gunjan Kedia as CEO has sparked further concern. During a recent Town Hall, Kedia dismissed legitimate employee questions with laughter and mockery, an incident that raised serious doubts about her leadership and her understanding of the gravity of the issues facing the organization she now leads.

Pros

Most of my years were decent. Moved up some grade levels. Pay lower than what others in the industry pay, but that was understood to be in exchange for some decent job security. Example: during 2008 recession, they decided 5% pay cut with a corresponding furlough instead of layoffs. Classy and human.

Cons

Things have changed for the worse after Richard Davis (former CEO) left. Offshore technical work is the norm and getting worse. Tech areas are filled with H1B visa holders. The people first philosophy is completely gone. I can't recommend this as a place to work as a career anymore. I am a high performing employee, and I stand by this.
