Pros

Easy hours. Not expected to work over 40 hours. Uncommon occurrence in IT. Richard Davis actually will respond to email if you ask question. Although it will never be an answer you want, he will respond. In a company of 55,000 employees that is impressive.

Cons

Let go after put on Action Plan, but met all of the goals of Action Plan. Management was dishonest and nasty at termination.

Pros

* Company culture * Career development planning * Work life balance * Your work is appreciated * Great CEO and leadership that keeps you informed * Outreach to the community

Cons

* Parking lot discounts in the large metro areas. They do however offset that with metro transit plans at a very affordable price.

Pros

I stay because I've invested 20+ years into the company...I'm not interested in starting over somewhere else, though I don't for one second believe the corp has any such loyalty in return.

Cons

Management from middle to upper is a nightmare. When Andy C. retired, it's like they only brought in Welch graduates from that point on, their only god was the short-sighted shareholder. In a 5 year span it went from a good job with good engagement and community, to just another corporate meme about greed and the evils of capitalism. It's sad really. There's a lot of big talk and positive signaling, but it's toxic positivity and gaslighting. They don't care about their employees. Case in point? They did away with annual bonuses for all employees, but only under managerial grade level. Managerial grade and up still get their annual bonuses. Guess those slivers of the pie that once went to employees are now just straight up going to their overlords. That's just one example.
