Could be a great job but in many branches you will see what a mess the management is (absolutely no congruency in banker expectations between branches, districts, or regions) and how you as a banker have so many strings attached that its hard to get anything accomplished. New rules pertaining, changes to policies of dealing with customer situations, and changes to your daily routine are implemented on the fly and then changed dozens of times (imagine office space with the TPS reports).
Sadly about half of the branch managers don't do anything productive, there are dozens of meetings and calls they are on, that are mostly overkill. About half of the managers are interested in helping their customers and bankers and you will find the other half locked in an office all day. There is NO emphasis on actual production from them, while in turn there is an impending ax always being held above the bankers heads.
This poor leadership makes it tough to want to come into work each day.
