Pros

A good opportunity for candidates who believe in enforcing immigration/custom laws in a fair manner and treating individuals as individuals.

Cons

Management may not be perfect. However, the worst people you will deal with is not management or passengers. The worst individuals that you will have to deal with are you're fellow employees. Depending on whether they are on the Fox News side or the CNN side, that's how they will treat the passengers.

Pros

Customs and Border Protection is a really great place to work. The managers and line staff are friendly, helpful and great to spend a full 8 hours a day with. They defend and protect the country against those individuals who would seek to do harm to our country.

Cons

No cons to be noted.

Pros

Great pay and benefits. Opportunity for movement and travel.

Cons

Law enforcement is not condusive to a strong work/life balance that other professions may provide. Government bureaucracies tend to operate without efficiency which can be frustrating for some.
